Business Update

It’s been almost a month since we announced we were going to drop Carbon Fiber. What was supposed to be an easy project took a lot longer than we anticipated, but the results have been well worth it. For about 2 weeks now we’ve been able to produce product with the new material. We’ve done testing with this material previously, but never had it running in a production capacity and workflow.

The difference between the carbon fiber filled powder and the new powder is night and day. It’s substantially more dimensionally stable, and surface quality and finish is much better. We’re excited to have moved over to this, and the change couldn’t have been timed better.

With some of these changes, as well as what we outlined in the last blog post, it has given us the opportunity to tighten up a few tolerances that we previously left a little on the loose side, with the understanding we would hand finish or go through a more intensive QA process.

We’ve been shipping orders the entire week, and just today dropped off a few boxes worth of orders. We have our list of backorders, and we’ve been filling them in order of earliest to most recent. Everyone is getting filled, and it’s imminent. All orders before today, and through the first week of December should have no issues receiving stocks prior to Christmas. Orders placed after December 8 may not be received until after Christmas, so please keep this in mind.
