Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some questions that we encounter all the time. If you have any unaddressed questions, feel free to contact us here.

Is there a left-handed Hamre Hook?

Most revolvers feature a cylinder release on the left side, which would be blocked by the hook. As such, our options for producing left-handed hooks are very limited. There are, and may be, a few revolvers that could accommodate a left-handed hook. So far we believe that left-handed hooks are possible for the Ruger LCR/LCRx and the NAA Mini.

Could you make grips for...?

We are always open to exploring new possibilities. If you have feedback/ideas or if you want Hamre Hook compatibility for a gun model, feel free to contact us here.

What are the different Hamre Hook options?

The Hamre Hook options are as follows:

  • The “hooked” option provides two grip panels, a left and a right, one of which contains our signature Hamre Hook.
  • The “hookless” option provides two grip panels, a left and a right, neither of which have our signature Hamre Hook.
  • The “full set” is comprised of three panels, “hookless” left and right panels, and one “hooked” panel. This allows you to carry with or without a hook.

If you’re having trouble putting the nut into the slot on the Hamre Hook, here’s a cool trick that we use to resolve that.
