The last 25 days have been wild.
We released the HF Spegels on June 30th, and got absolutely pummeled with orders. To make matters worse, running our new machine in a production capacity exposed some flaws in our configuration which required us to go back to doing some machine tuning.
That wiped out about 2 weeks. Since the week of July 8th, we were able to resolve our issues and have been producing and sending grips straight out.
As of today, for the first time in 25 days, we’ll be under 100 outstanding orders, and hope to close those up ASAP.
Being a small business has been an enjoyable journey. We’ve learned a lot, and the reception we’ve had has been fantastic. Everyone has helped us grow to where we are today, and we’ve been trying to give back through continuous improvement and minimal price hikes.
I’m still not sure how to handle these massive influxes of orders when we have a release. Should I enable pre-orders, and start shipping 2 weeks after starting pre-order? Or should I create a massive inventory (really expensive) of a new product before going live? Maybe I change nothing, keep doing what I’m doing, and incur a large lead time when we have a new release? Please let me know what you think, if you have our email, feel free to email me, otherwise you can fill out the contact form.
We’ve been blessed with support and wonderful customers. Everyone has been extremely patient, understanding, and pleased with what they’ve received. We hope to continue to deliver a great product, at a great price, to everyone who wants it, for many years to come.
