We couldn’t be more excited here at Hamre Forge.
It’s Lee Day. It’s Trump’s inauguration day. And today is also the day of the announcement of our first OEM grip deal.
As many people may have seen already, a newly announced Lipsey’s Exclusive “Ultimate Carry” j-frame revolver will be released featuring our Hamre Forge American Fighting Revolver UC grips.

Many of our products are currently marked “Out Of Stock”, and in our last blog post we alluded to the fact that we would do this so we could work on some other projects. And this is it. This is a huge deal for us, so we needed to clean the slate and focus on delivering.
There are a few customer orders that will be shipped soon. Namely, a couple of Kimber customers, and some other customers that made special requests for black material stocks. These are going out the door shortly, and you will receive an email with tracking as soon as we drop them in the mail.
Gunfighter Stocks and the Hamre Forge Classics line
Many customers have been receiving their Gunfighter grips that we released for the J-Frame. This was a very fun project, and we can refill our inventory to restock these. Our goal with this project is to make available to the public at an affordable price, discontinued, rare, and hard-to-get stocks. I like to try different stocks, and it seems crazy to me to spend $500-$1000 for stocks that could crack, warp, get chipped, or burn.
We have the best support, and people have loaned us stocks for this project that we’re able to quite closely replicate, and even modernize. When we release a set of stocks like this, we like to give homage to the person that loaned the stocks to us by putting their initials inside the grip panel. This is also why the Gunfighter stocks for the j-frame say “BLM” on the inside.
The K/N Gunfighters will have “RLG” on the inside, which are the initials of the lender of those stocks. I would like to see this as a community project of sorts, so if you have an interesting project that you’d like to see us take on for the Classics line, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Conclusion
In the way that the Classics line involves great people willing to trust us with rare stocks, we’ve been fortunate to work with many subject matter experts in the short amount of time that we’ve been in business. This has been a great opportunity for us, and it’s been a pleasure to learn from people I never thought I’d be in contact with. It seems only fitting that with the announcements that have been coming out, we give a shoutout to the folks over at AFR. American Fighting Revolver, with DB and Bryan, has been quite amazing for us. They’re gurus in the industry, and from the start of Hamre Forge, DB in particular has been quite a help to us. DB and Rhett Neumayer of Demonstrated Concepts offered subject matter expertise and feedback on the first generation LCR. And since the LCR, DB and Y have had input into different aspects of many things we’ve done at Hamre Forge. From coming up with the name “Rough Out” for our textured finish, to testing and evaluation on stocks for collaborations, it’s been awesome. It’s a partnership we’re proud of having, and continuing hopefully for years to come.
We truly feel fortunate to have worked with everyone that we have, and it’s our hope that it’s reflected in our dedication to our customers, our products, and our relentless continuous improvement.
We’re 20 days into the new year, and it’s already looking like 2025 is going to be crazy, in a good way. We’re here for it, and we hope you are too.
